Franklin Delano Roosevelt, commonly referred to as FDR was an American politician who became the 32nd President of the United States in 1933 and served until his death in 1945. He was born into wealth at Hyde Park, thus the nickname "The Squire of Hyde Park." He was married to Eleanor Roosevelt for 40 years and had a total of six children.
